Outlook for tablet sales this holiday season

While the consumer electronic industry is positioning tablets as the next wave of mobile Internet devices, most consumers have yet to be convinced of their usefulness, perceiving them as falling somewhere between a phone and a laptop. Shahid Khan of Mediamorph notes that consumers are becoming familiar with the capabilities of tablets. "I see a lot of people using them as laptops for e-mail and Web browsing. They are gradually getting used to typing on that screen", Khan said.
